The Old Notes of an Ugly Foreigner
To start off my first entry into the journals of No Hope In New Jersey I should explain the title of their first LP, ”Steady Diet Of Decline”.
This is how I view everyday existence, life in mainstream culture. This includes the music played in public places, the diets available on the high street and the attitudes of glossy magazines and tabloids.
It’s a conclusion I came to through my limited experience and intelligence.
It’s also about life cycles and natures natural decay. I was a born optimist but I was also born to die. Nothing good lasts for very long. A good moment is usually broken by the interference of humanity.
